RSNA 2020 Abstract Submissions Exceed 11,000
Original research will help shape educational programming at RSNA 2020
RSNA received 11,039 scientific and educational abstract submissions for RSNA 2020, the Society’s 106th annual meeting. The volume and topical array of abstract submissions will provide RSNA 2020 meeting attendees with wide-ranging opportunities to learn at the world’s largest radiology conference, to be held Nov. 29-Dec. 4 in Chicago.
“In the midst of this pandemic, I was inspired to see more than 11,000 abstracts submitted,” said Matthew A. Mauro, MD, RSNA Board Liaison for Education. “Clearly the radiology community is looking to RSNA, and to the RSNA annual meeting, as its anchor for learning and sharing science and education this year.”
The abstracts were submitted by researchers and educators from 75 countries, covering 17 subspecialties in radiology. The highest number of abstracts cover radiologic topics in Breast, Chest, Gastrointestinal, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology and Physics.
At this time, RSNA is proceeding with planning for RSNA 2020 in Chicago, optimistic that the COVID-19 outbreak will subside prior to that time. The Society is also enhancing its already successful virtual meeting by planning a program that can take place either in person or virtually.

The RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting is the premier meeting to present the best science, education and technologic innovation in medical imaging. RSNA 2020 registration opens July 22.
