RSNA Hosts Webinar on the Economic Impact in Radiology From COVID-19
Topics included financial implications, protocol changes and offer a vendor’s perspective
RSNA hosted a webinar on the financial challenges facing the radiology community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Entitled, “The Economic Impact of COVID-19 in the Radiology Community”, the webinar will be held on Thursday, June 23 at noon (CT). The webinar was sponsored by Hyland Healthcare. The video is available on the RSNA YouTube channel, RSNAtube.
The webinar discussed the business of radiology and how reductions in volume are affecting the bottom line. Also discussed were changes to imaging protocols and the effect on subspecialties. Representatives from Hyland provided insight to the vendor's perspective and how to cut through the red tape in times of crisis.
The webinar was moderated by Richard E Sharpe Jr., MD, MBA, radiologist, senior associate consultant, Mayo Clinic Arizona.
