Mahoney Named Chair of UC Radiology

An accomplished breast imager and staunch advocate of patient-centered radiology, Mary C. Mahoney, M.D., FACR, has been named Ben Felson Endowed Chair and Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati (UC). Dr. Mahoney has served as interim chair since August 2014 as well as being a professor in the department and the Eugene L. and Sue R. Saenger Chair of Radiological Services. Dr. Mahoney is also the director for the Breast Imaging Fellowship at UC Medical Center.

The current RSNA Board of Directors Liaison for Publications and Communications, Dr. Mahoney previously served on and chaired RSNA’s Public Information Committee and the Patient-centered Radiology Steering Committee, and was a driving force behind the launch of the Society’s Radiology Cares campaign. She also served on the RSNA Research & Education (R&E) Foundation Public Relations Committee. Dr. Mahoney is on the Board of Governors of the American Board of Radiology.
