This webinar will examine how to preserve efficient imaging processes during organizational transitions. Its goal is to ensure radiologists can promptly deliver accurate diagnoses and maintain seamless enterprise imaging workflows without bottlenecks.

Enterprise imaging has experienced significant transitions in recent years. From navigating the complexities of AI, cybersecurity challenges and the emergence of Cloud PACS, to dealing with the sunsetting of viewers and consolidation among image-sharing vendors and electronic health record companies, health care organizations, imaging centers and clinics face inevitable changes related to implementing new processes, adopting advanced technologies and integrating new systems.

Leadership transitions and organizational changes (department head retirements/departures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures or closures) are common and often positioned as opportunities to enhance interoperability and improve patient care. However, these transitions can present significant challenges, where interoperability and vendor neutrality often suffer due to complex financial motivations that prioritize the interests of a few over the genuine enhancement of patient care.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the challenges of transition in enterprise imaging: Participants will learn about the various transitions in enterprise imaging, including AI implementation, cybersecurity challenges and vendor consolidation, and how these changes impact clinical workflow integrity and patient care.

  • Identify strategies for maintaining workflow integrity: Participants will explore how to maintain seamless imaging workflows during organizational transitions, including effective management techniques that minimize latency and bottlenecks, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Enhance patient care through efficient imaging processes: Participants will learn how to integrate imaging systems effectively to reduce errors, improve care quality and enhance patient satisfaction, fostering confidence in health care providers through efficient and patient-centered imaging processes.
