• Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award

    Roentgen Award
    Purpose: To recognize and encourage outstanding residents and fellows in radiologic research as evidenced by the following:

    • Presentations of scientific papers at regional or national meetings.
    • Publication of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
    • Receipt of a research grant or contributions to the success of a research program within the department.
    • Other research activities.

    Award: Each participating North American residency program will receive an award plaque with space to display brass nameplates for each year’s recipient. The Foundation will also provide a personalized award for the department to present to the selected resident or fellow.

    Eligibility: Open to ACGME-approved programs within North American institutions. Nominations are limited to one resident or fellow per ACGME-approved program in radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine per year.

    Nomination Procedure: The program director or department chair selects one resident or fellow to receive the award. The nomination form is completed and the data sent to the Foundation office by XML e-mail attachment. Nominations must be received by April 1. Nominators will receive a confirmation email by April 15; if you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact Diane Georgelos, (630) 590-7789, dgeorgelos@rsna.org.
