Introduced in 2011, the RSNA Quality Certificate program is designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate a threshold level of knowledge in various quality improvement domains. Participants in designated RSNA quality programs are recognized for their achievements, and also gain knowledge in quality improvement, its significance to radiology, and best-practice quality improvement techniques. Since the introduction of the Quality Essential Certificate program, more than 500 certificates have been earned.
With the addition of two new courses that are part of the Quality Symposium at RSNA 2013, Quality Essential Certificates will be available in each of the following four categories:
A Quality Essentials Certificate is awarded to participants who earn 80% or higher on the related SAM test. Within six months of their first live offering, the courses and tests are also available through RSNA's online education offerings.
Following the 2013 RSNA Annual Meeting, candidates may work toward earning an Advanced Level Quality Certificate.
An Advanced Level Quality Certificate will be awarded to individuals who meet the following criteria:
