  • About the Foundation

  • Since its inception in 1984, the Research & Education Foundation has awarded $37 million in grant funding for nearly 1000 young investigators. The real value, however, is far greatersurveys show that for every $1 granted by the Foundation, recipients have received over 30 additional dollars in subsequent funding from other sources, such as the NIH, NIBIB, and NCI. In the final analysis, $37 million for jump-start grants to young investigators has resulted in $1 billion in funding for radiology research and education.
