  • Foundation Committees review specific programs, make recommendations for revised and/or new programming, and provide regular reports on committee work to the Board of Trustees. Individuals interested in becoming involved with Foundation committee activity are encouraged to contact Sena Leach in the Foundation office at sleach@rsna.org

    Descriptions of Foundation committees and committee members are as follows:

    Evaluation Committee - The Evaluation Committee is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of programmatic excellence and for the continuous quality improvement of the several research and education initiatives of the RSNA R&E Foundation.

    Finance Committee - The Finance Committee oversees all issues and practices that impact the finances of the Foundation, including monitoring the performance of the invested assets, the revenues and expenses, and the ratio of administrative expenses to grant program expenses.

    Grant Program Committee - The Grant Program Committee has overall responsibility for recommending and developing new and revised grant/award programs to be implemented by the Foundation. The Committee is responsible for all of the activities of the Radiology Research Study Section, Radiation Oncology Research Study Section, Education Study Section, and Research Medical Student Grant Review Panel. The committee is also responsible for periodic review of policies and procedures of all existing grants and awards programs.

    Radiology Research Study Section - The Radiology Research Study Section is responsible for evaluating, scoring, and providing written critiques for the Foundation's radiology research grant applications.  The study section review process is patterned after the NIH grant review process. Study section members review grant applications, prepare written reviews and submit preliminary scores for assigned grant applications, and they attend a study section meeting to discuss and score all Foundation research grant applications.

    Radiation Oncology Research Study Section - The Radiation Oncology Research Study Section is responsible for evaluating, scoring, and providing written critiques for the Foundation's radiation oncology research grant applications. Study section members review grant applications, prepare written reviews and submit preliminary scores for assigned grant applications, and they attend a study section meeting to discuss and score all Foundation radiation oncology research grant applications.

    Public Relations Committee - The Public Relations Committee is responsible for all public relations activities of the Foundation. The committee works in conjunction with other Foundation committees to develop and recommend public relations activities for promoting programs.
